Social Media And Real Estate In 2017 #getsocial
I’m going to start this blog off with a question…. Whats the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning??
Unless you’re lying to yourself, I’m going to assume you reach for your phone just like the other 99% of people do. Think about that for a second… Before you even roll out of bed, your eyes on locked on your mobile device. Don’t feel bad, this isn’t some type of technology rehabilitation blog, this is only the truth!
This is 2017 and very soon to be 2018. We are innovating as a race and technology is at the forefront. You can deny it as much as you want but unless you are willing to adapt, you will be left behind and way behind at the pace that we are going now of days.
Remember when we thought the Razor cell phone was the best thing on earth?? That wasn’t even 15 years ago! Look how far we’ve come since then.

So why am I so active on social media and my website?…
This is easy, I want to provide valuable content to inform and continue building my following and credibility so I can actually create an impact. I don’t expect you to believe all of my views on the Toronto real estate market, but I am thirlled to have over four thousand people who follow along and observe the content I create. I understand my views will not coincide with many of you out there, and my views will not bode well for at least 85% of agents.. But that’s not going to deter me from creating content based on my daily observations our Toronto’s real estate market. I’ve been working recently to try and find a videographer to join me 2-3 times a week to just shoot random thoughts, experiences, negotiations and listing appts.. Let’s see if this pans out but its something I’m really excited about and I will continue to find ways to create the most authentic content I possibly can.
I’m not going to go too deep into a “this is why you should use me” segment on this blog as my goal is not to solicit customers… But the reality is that I’ve actually sold my clients listings organically through my Instagram following. By default, my clients automatically get 4,030 (current amount of followers) more eyes on their property when they work with me because I work day in and day out on curating an Instagram page which gives me credibility. The key is consistency and genuine information.
Get this…. As I’m writing this blog I just got a DM from a condo owner who saw that I listed the condo unit above him (exact same unit but with smaller terrace). He couldn’t believe the list price on the same unit and touched base with me in his astonishment as to what his condo is worth now. I’m going to be sure to keep him in the loop as the listing progresses and of course, the final sale price. This is a prime example of the power of reach… I’m still yet to dive deeper into conversation with this gentlemen, but this is someone who has just received information which could be extremely beneficial, by simply following my Instagram account. I’m not naive, I follow so many Instagram accounts where the same instance takes place for me… I’m no different from other brands utilizing social media to expand their business through genuine information and education.
The truth is… I enjoy creating content. I enjoy writing this blog. I enjoy giving value to strangers because I know that every quality business relationship started off by two people being strangers. This is my way reach the masses, and I’m going to take advantage of it! We live in one of the most unique cities, and one of the most intense real estate markets in the world… To not be a news channel as I’m working every day as a Sales Representative would be absolute and utter complacency.
